Josu Ortiz

Composer, arranger, producer

Josu Ortiz is a composer, arranger, producer and pianist located in Los Angeles, California. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, he has been collaborating with composers such as Michael Levine, Penka Kouneva, Bijan Olia and Elik Alvarez.

In 2019 he started composing for MusicMind Group and Mpath, and he has composed music for TV shows like the hit 100 Dias para Enamorarse, which was on the top 10 shows on Netflix worldwide. He also has written for Vanderpump Rules, Into Alaska with Jeff Corwin and Alaska Law, among others.

In 2017 he released Black and White Steps, a Latin jazz album with his Latin band and in 2020, along with Deftdog, he composed the score for Morir de Miedo o Morir de COVID, an award- winning short film that talks about the struggle of COVID in Venezuela.
